Part 4: Set intentional goals for 2022

Video 4 is action-packed! Now that you know what you want to cultivate, let’s do something about it! Get ready to set goals the way that works – the Cultivate way! This year, we’re walking through different types of goals and added three categories to help you define your goals. You’ll walk through creating a rough draft of your goals and then create a starting point for 2022. Reminder – no perfection needed here! You have permission to change your mind with refreshes throughout the year.

Tell us! What do you most want to cultivate in 2022? We can’t wait to hear!

I have very similar things I want to cultivate in 2022! Faith is a huge component of what I want to cultivate and I feel like it will affect all my other goals and areas I want to grow. And i’d love to learn to tell good stories and explore what my creativity is without comparing it to others.

I want both rest and adventure in 2022… finding the balance may be a challenge, but I know it is possible and one will actually help the other!

I want to cultivate healthier eating habits, good sleep, and responsible dog ownership and training. There are so many goals I have as ideas, but I need to work on combining them and paring down to make a manageable achievable number!

In 2022 I most want to cultivate relationships. I find that the culture of Busy often tricks me into thinking that I don’t have the time or energy to really lean into the relationships in my life, or those that I would like to grow.

I agree! Life is better together! It may seem inconvenient or even uncomfortable at first but you will not regret spending time with others and building friendships. Others will be grateful too.

Really hoping to pay off all my school debt this year. It’s a stretch goal. But one that I really think is worth it!

Documented memories with my family. Cooking with my husband (he wants to learn). Then special planned times with our boys. At the end of the year, I want to gift them photo books of everything we did through the year.

I really want to cultivate being conscientious and remembering what I want. Throughout the day the moment I sit down I get distracted and totally forget I had any plans or responsibilities for the day.

I know exactly how that feels. This year will be a huge success if I can stay on task with literally anything!

Thank you for sharing this. Your words have captured how I feel about my goals for 2022. Struggling with worrying that it’s a bit selfish but I know deep down that it will not only benefit me but also have a positive effect on everyone around me.

Hi- on page 26, it says there are more ideas for action items on the blog… I can’t find that specific info- can you point me there? Thanks!

Thanks for all the reminders that we don’t need to do this all at once. I needed that pressure relief valve.

Have you ever heard “The Garden Song” by John Denver? I think that is a perfect fit for the theme song Lara is describing.

My number one goal to cultivate in 2022 is consistent prayer and Bible study. When I apply Matthew 6:33, the other goals will fall into place.

After this, I want to cultivate my writing and have a book written by the end of the year.

I feel so busy, but it rarely ends with feeling like anything was done well or even completed. I lament missed opportunities to be with family and friends. This has helped me understand that I may not actually be overcommitted, I just get sidetracked and spend time on things that don’t matter. I want my friends, my family, and my husband to know that they really do matter. And I want the volunteer activities I am engaged with to be fruitful because I am intentional with planning and preparing. Those are two big areas I really want to focus my cultivating time on in 2022.
